he Pretty Pizza Company wants to open a new pizza place either on the north side of town or the south side of town. They want to open the pizza place where the ratio of pizza places per person is currently less than 0.01. The population of 15 blocks of the north side of town is 221 people per block, but there are already 32 pizza places in the area. The population of 22 blocks of the south area is 150 people per block, and there are 28 pizza places in the area. Where, if anywhere, should the Pretty Pizza Company open a new pizza place? South side of town North side of town Both sides of town Neither side of town
Really it's an informative huge question.
? @goformit100
@zepdrix
Calculate the total population for each side of town. Then, divide the number of pizza places per populations size for each side of town.
Make sense?
@RBauer4 the population for north is 221 * 15 ?
@jim_thompson5910
yes. that's right
i think the side that they should put it south area i think idk
well i did 22*150/28
which gave me \(\huge\cal\ 117\)
do you knw @Euler271
actually its pizza places/population. north: 32/(221*15) = .009653 south: 28/(22*150) = .008484 both of these ratios are less than 0.01. so nowhere. there are already too many pizza places. like irl.
so i suggest D
true because in the sentence it said They wanted to open the pizza place where the ratio of pizza places per person is currently less than 0.01 but all of them are more than that so its D
