the question is below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if\[\left[\begin{matrix}4 & 2y-1 \\ 27 & 6\end{matrix}\right] = \left[\begin{matrix}4 & 5 \\ 9^{3x-y} & 6\end{matrix}\right]\] the value of y-x =?

OpenStudy (loser66):

Your idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 2y-1=5 then \[27 = 9^{3x-y}\] m i ryte??

OpenStudy (loser66):

u r ryte, hahahaha... what kind of English you use. !!! then solve for y and x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha short form!!! to find x should i substitute the value of y i find earlier?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=3/2 and y=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sid0830 can you show me the solution??

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

you have it, 2y-1=5 implies y = 3 9^(3x-3)=27 implies 3x-3 = log_9(27) solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x i got 3/2 !! y-x=3/2 @zzr0ck3r :)
