Medal and fan How would you formulate these words into a sentence in French? une chamber/ grand/ avec/beau/c'est/montagnard What I had was Une gran chamber avec une belle vue c'est montagnard. Is that correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind, you'd put c'est at the beginning I believe since montagnard can mean of the mountains.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

I don't think you can come up with a meaningful sentence using those words. Can you add more words? Can you change the gender? eg montagnard -> montagnarde?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope, we're not allowed to. Only with what we're given.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

You say you are not allowed to, but in you answer, you changed "beau" to "belle", and you added the word "vue". So what should we do ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well yes, because it is an adjective describing the view. The mountains aren't being described, the window is. The view is feminine.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

"Une grande chambre avec une belle vue, c'est montagnard." is grammatically correct, but would not be used in French. Let me know when you get the right answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I asked my teacher if I could say c'est une grande chamber avec une belle vue montagnard, translating to it is a big room with a beautiful view of the mountains and she said that would be correct.
