2, 3, 5, 10, 12 if m and n are integers in the list above and m

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{(2,3), (2,5), (2,10), (2,12), (3,10), (3,12), (5,10), (5,12), (10,12)} = 9 pairs

thanks but is there any way i can use an equation to solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't believe so, but there are some things you can notice: 1) If m is an even number, it will form a pair with any number (even * even or odd = even) 2) If n is an even number, it will form a pair with any number 3) If m is odd, it will form a pair with ONLY even numbers

ok thank you again
