2 and 2.
OpenStudy (jumperman):
Isn't it supposed to be 22?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Not really. They don't have to be together.
OpenStudy (jumperman):
But I never used the + sign
OpenStudy (anonymous):
2+2=4

Now I know what my parents felt like when they were teaching me "new math". I think I could grasp this "even newer new math" if I tried, but it sure seems way more complicated than it has to be. I do like the expectation, though, of having understanding of math in terms of the world as opposed to just knowing how to perform math. Sometimes, old dogs just refuse to learn new tricks. :P
