PLEASE HELP!!!! Donna teaches dance in groups of five students. She rents a hall for the dance classes at $450 per month. She charges $40 per hour per student. Donna teaches four groups of students, and her net earnings per month are $4,350. Part A: If each student learns dance for the same number of hours, write an equation that can be used to calculate the number of hours each student learns dance in a month. Part B: How many hours did each student learn dance each month? Show your work and justify each step.

Net Income: $4, 350 Total Income: $4, 900 Five Students at $40/hour. $4,900/5 = 980 980/40 = 24.5 hours per month

The net income is after she paid the rent. So you have to add the $450 back to the 4350 to see how much she made during the month in total

Oh. but what would the equation look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let y = total cost Let x = number of hours 4350 = 40x + 450 -> hours for 5 students

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 4900 = 40x/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is a good equation for one student
