A mouse’s tail gets cut off. If the mouse has babies later, how will this affect the length of the tails of its offspring? A. It depends on the length of the mate’s tail. B. It will not affect the length of the tails of any of the offspring. C. It will affect the length of the tails of all the offspring. D. It will affect the length of the tails of some of the offspring. I'm thinking B is this right? @Abhisar @Somy @alphadxg

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Which do you think it is? Why or why not? It would be easier to tutor you if you explained what about the question is giving you trouble.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because he wasn't born that way

OpenStudy (abhisar):

If a mouse's tail gets cut off then it is an aquired somatic trait. Such traits are not transferred to the offspring.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

got it ?
