Check my answer please!! ASAP :) A representative for Mrs. Jones Donuts stood outside of a grocery store with a clipboard, a survey form, and a table filled with donuts and small glasses of milk. The sign on the table said "FREE DONUTS." After each person picked up a donut and took a bite, she would ask, "Isn't that good?" Each positive reply, even if it was just a nod of the head, was entered on her clipboard sheet as a preference for that kind of donut. What kind of sampling is this? biased sampling negative sampling random sampling unbiased sampling

I say B

OpenStudy (neer2890):

yup.. absolutely correct..! you can check further on http://www.southalabama.edu/coe/bset/johnson/lectures/lec7.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says its wrong :(

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Why would that be "negative sampling?" @lee_actress: Please justify your answer there. I looked up http://www.southalabama.edu/coe/bset/johnson/lectures/lec7.htm, found one mention of "negative case" sampling, but did not find it at all relevant to the problem at hand.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was biased

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Certainly there was a lot of bias in that sampling, but "bias" is not the same thing as "negative sampling." "bias" can be positive as well as negative.

OpenStudy (neer2890):

sorry..! @lee_actress

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's ok.. Could one of you help me with a few more???

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I need to get off the 'Net now, unfortunately. But if you'd please post new questions (one at a time) in the "Ask a question" box, someone else will respond eventually. Happy to have had these opportunities to work with you this afternoon and evening.

Thank you and same too you :)
