what is the domain of the following function? http://prntscr.com/3vkgux

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain of a function are the x-values that are acceptable. What values of x can be plugged into this function to be given a value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What happens if you try to plug in x = -5? x = -3? x = 0? etc. Just look at what range of values are able to plug into the function and get a value back.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the same value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so D?

D is the right answer! Everything before x = -3 is not on the graph, therefore not apart of the domain.
