What with ?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Solve -2x2 +3x - 9 = 0
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
You will use the quadratic formula again here
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
Wait never mind you can factor this

I was just going to say that.
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
I glaned at the problem wrong the first time lol
But yes you can factor this problem to find your zeros
OpenStudy (anonymous):
umm i dont know how to do that
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
Is that -2x^2 supposed to be negative?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yeah

Then no you cannot factor this. The signs no not work. @jcpd910
You will yes have to use the quadratic formula. It looks like it will factor but theres no way you can get the -2x^2 and the -9 because you get -9x which isn't -3x.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ohh ok
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
So you'll use the quadratic formula and
a=-2
b=3
c=-9
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how do you make the equaiton
OpenStudy (marissalovescats):
The quadratic formula is always this and you just plug in your values of what you have for a b and c\[\frac{ -b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{ 2a }\]
