Okay, so I'm very new to FLVS and I was just wondering what types of questions are asked in a collaboration for World History S1? I have never done this and im freaking out that I will say the wrong thing. And how many people are there with you?
hey :) bro im from FLVS
hey im so confused about how the collaborations work...
@compassionate knos the FLVS rules very well.
whats better someone that knows the rules or someone that still goes to that school and has done at least like 9 collaborations
yeah it would have to be not just knowing the rules
@countryweirdo ok you log in and when you log in you will see a bunch of students waiting for directions
but dont worry they will split you guys up depending on the amount that came usually its groups of 4 and 5
Okay, so what level of difficulty are the q?
well dont know about that but dont worry bro :) its not a live lesson that they start asking u questions about the lesson
ok its like this bro they either give you a video to your group to look at and study or a passage you read thats like 10 sentences long
then they give you questions about what you just read or saw in the video
okay, so its not like straight question from the book.. thanks
I was litterally about to pass out from how fast my heart was beating
Future, you made an assumption about why Compassionate knows the FLVS system. There happens to be a very good reason why FLVS procedure and policy questions get passed on to him.
its doesn't matter bro i helped the user so just chill im sure compassionate has better things to do than just repeat what i just said
Hi, I've been in FLVS for five years, going on six. So, you seem to be confused. The collaboration for FLVS are not DBA (Discussion Based Assessments.). You only have to do one collaboration for each segment. (Segment I and II). I believe there are a total of 8 modules in both Segments, and Segment I is up-till module IV. In each module, you'll find an opportunity for a DBA. This is usually located at the beginning of the module or toward the end. Look for the lessons that are usually labeled, "end of course discussion," or, "discussion based assessment," they are located there, too. In collaboration, you are often given a strict criteria and topic to discuss. The questions asked depend on what collaborative project you choose. Now, as for your discussion based assessments, which is what I believe you meant, are a bit more lenient. You will be asked to discuss several subjects from your course material. These questions are subject to change and are never the same. You should remember important dates, historical figures and locations that events took place. These sometimes will take place in a virtual classroom with students, over the phone, or email. They may be live, may not. All depends. If you're in a live classroom, you will not need to be on webcam, but VOIC or a Microphone may be required, but it's position is often is relinquished to a friendlier text environment. You are not allowed to browse the course at this time, but you are allowed to use your notes. So go ahead and write down stuff you have trouble remember, like those aforementioned dates and names.
@future_USArmy_MP , Classes are not split up based on populace. You will enter your discussion room based on the first initial of your last name. My last initial is "Kent." So I click on my World History page, click on the discussion page located in the right panels, and navigate to my section. You can also click on the Chatroom if you're going into a live section. You seem to be responding to a Collaborative Reflection, or posting your Collaborative itself. So you will likely need to navigate to the Discussion page and post your chosen collaborative. Remember, look for your initial, type your comment (must have a subject), and post.
