Which of the following would increase the rate of a chemical reaction? Answer Reducing the temperature Increasing volume Using reactants in fine, powder form, rather than large, chunky form Decreasing reactant concentration

I'm bad with science.. Well, biology is a strong suit of mine, but.. reactions, not so much

OpenStudy (abmon98):

What do you think @Superdeath

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a

OpenStudy (abmon98):

Why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur not helping :(

OpenStudy (abmon98):

Increasing the temperature increases reaction rates because of the disproportionately large increase in the number of high energy collisions. Point B Particles collide over a larger space this would cause less effective collision. Point C . Increasing the surface area of the solid increases the chances of collision taking place. Point D Decreasing concentration would decrease the number of frequent collision so would have a lower rate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so I'm right?

OpenStudy (abmon98):

nope it wont be A because reducing temperature would lower the number of high energy collisions and would decrease the rate of reaction, the answer answer is C.

love ya @jadeybells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx @Abmon98

OpenStudy (abmon98):

your welcome.
