Why isn’t it possible for a scanning probe microscope to make images of the inside of an atom? @Abhisar

The scanning probe microscope uses electrons as the scanning element. Electrons when approach and atom, either get into the orbit of the atom and ionize it or gets bumped away by the electrons already present in it. So, the electrons have no way of reaching near the inside of the atom and cannot take images in that way... but you should see, scientists have an image of a benzene ring by using a technique which I forgot... Google it if you want...
