Given that (-1,-2) is on the graph of f(x), find the corresponding point for the function f(x)+4.

@satellite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-1,2)?? I think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how come

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x) +4 is the graph of f(x) up to 4 units. That means the x-coordinate is unchanged, it is -1 still; y-coordinate is up to 4 units, it becomes -2+4=2. That's the logic to get (-1,2) in the new graph

Thanks so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

Given that (3,6) is on the graph of f(x), find the corresponding point for the function f(x)−2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait what about this one would it be (3,-6)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Imitate exactly the same, you show me your effort

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, 6-2 is not -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3,4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH I GET IT. thanks!
