Indicate in standard form the equation of the line passing through the given point and having the given slope. C(0, 4), m = 0
Do you know what kind of line has zero slope? That's what it means by m = 0.
Well I am so lost by this and it is throwing me off.
Ok, well. It's kewl. m = 0 refers to the slope of the line they want. They want an equation of a line with a slope of 0. And a line with 0 slope is a horizontal line. :D With horizontal lines on an xy-plane, the line goes through one specific y-value, and extends to infinity and negative infinity in the x direction. Like this: |dw:1403879391284:dw|
I thought that y=4 due to the C being (0 , 4)
YESH. :D The equation of the line will be y = 4. Every point that exists on that line will have its y-value equal to 4. (X,4)
Graphically, it looks like this: |dw:1403879741556:dw|
