first i would plug in the y-intercept because all you have to do to find that is look at the graph and find which point your line crosses the y-axis

ya, correct. so you now know it cant be the first option. now all you need to do is find the slope. for that, most often you will have to find another point, but in your case i would say just use the y-intercept and the x-intercept (point where the line crosses the x-axis) just because its a bit easier that way

so your y-intercept you already found as 6, and you x-intercept would be what?

yea exactly so now slope, as i hope youve been taught is another way of saying rise/run. so from (0,0), you went up by 6 and over by -9, now the reason I say its negative and not positive is because your line is going from a higher y value to a lower y value from one end to the other on your graph.

so now you have a fraction that looks like this. \[6/(-9)\]

all you need to do now is simplify that and you have your slope

so y=-2/3x+6 ?
