One of the reactions you conducted can actually be categorized as TWO different types of reactions. Which reaction is this, and what are the two types of reactions? (Iron and Copper Sulfate, Lead nitrate and potassium iodide, Magnesium metal and hydrochloric acid, Electrolysis of water, Burning magnesium)

OpenStudy (somy):

write each reaction and balance it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've done that, what do I do next?

OpenStudy (somy):

look what kind of reactions they are

OpenStudy (somy):

write reactions here so that we figure it together

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Iron and Copper Sulfate is single-displacement Lead nitrate and potassium iodide is double displacement Magnesium metal and hydrochloric acid is Single displacement Electrolysis of water is synthesis Burning magnesium is combustion

OpenStudy (somy):

what do u think? i think its Electrolysis of water

OpenStudy (somy):

it can be synthesis as well as decomposition because water breaks to H2 and O2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh! That's right! Thank you so much!!

OpenStudy (somy):

u r welcome :)
