Identify the horizontal asymptote of f(x) = quantity x squared plus 5 x minus 3 over quantity 4 x minus 1.

OpenStudy (ipwnbunnies):

\[f(x) = \frac{x^2 + 5x - 3}{4x - 1}\] You should know this rule for rational functions. If the numerator has a higher degree than the denominator, then no horizontal asymptotes exists. By higher degree, I meant that the numerator has the variable with the highest power.

ok thanks!

so no horizontal asymptotes right?
