Please Help!! What polynomial has roots of -6, -4, and 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer choices are: x3 - 9x2 - 22x + 24 x3 - x2 - 26x - 24 x3 + x2 - 26x + 24 x3 + 9x2 + 14x - 24

If a,b,c are roots of a polynomial, then the simplest polynomial is: (x-a)(x-b)(x-c).

I'm not sure I follow...so how does that apply in this situation? Sorry I'm really bad at math.

OpenStudy (aum):

Here -6, -4, and 1 are the roots. That means the simplest polynomial is: (x - (-6)) * (x - (-4)) * (x-1) or (x+6)(x+4)(x-1) Multiply it out and simplify.

Ohhhhh... Thank you! Once sec...let me see if I get the right answer
