I am really stuck on this question could someone explain to me how to do it? Write the expression 3x^12+20x^6+6 in quadratic form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

quadratic form is \(ax^2+bx+c\) so you need to get the powers on the first two terms to be 2 and 1 respectively \(3x^{12}=3(x^6)^2\\ 20x^6 = 20(x^6)^1 \)

So how do i do that

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

replace x^6 with y and you will have a quadratic in y

So would the answer be C?
