Can you help me clear a tiny math confusion @Kainui

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{6}/\sqrt{3}x 2\] is given as 1/sqrt2 in a website which I was using for vectors.. shouldn't it be 1? I don't understand how they got 1/sqrt2

OpenStudy (kainui):

Is this what you mean just to be clear:\[\Large \frac{\sqrt{6}}{\sqrt{3}}*2\]

It should be one right? wait ill draw the entire thing on my tablet sec lemme connect it

OpenStudy (kainui):

Does this make it more obvious perhaps?\[\Large \Large \frac{\sqrt{6}}{2\sqrt{3}}=\frac{\sqrt{2}\sqrt{3}}{\sqrt{2}^2\sqrt{3}}\]

OpenStudy (kainui):

I sort of did two things at once there. I just made 2 square rooted and squared so I didn't change anything. I also turned sqrt6 into the two factors multiplied together. Now you can divide out the parts more clearly.
