Erosion is more common in damp areas that receive a lot of rain , than it is in dry areas that receive very little rain . Why might this be ? A) damp areas have loosely packed soil which is easily ended by runoff . B) the ground in damp areas is probably saturated , which means less water is absorbed . C) soil in dry areas is always more permeable than soil in damp areas . D) dry areas have tightly packed soil , which is not easily eroded by runoff .
