Help me graph y = -13/pi and determine the slope. I keep getting 0/0 (Undefined), but isn't the slope (0)?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

slope = (change in y) / (change in x) since y is not changing no matter what, change in y = 0 so slope = 0/something = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The slope is 0, correct, but using the slope formula, m = x2-x1/y2-y1 I keep getting 0/0 which is undefined, not 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y2-y1/x2-x1 sorry.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

what are the two points that you have picked for slope formula ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Brb @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was using x = 1, and x =2 with the same y = -13/pi

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yes, whats the change in x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am so dumb.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lol no way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used (x, -13/pi) and (x, -13/pi) instead of (1, -13/pi) and (2, -13/pi) no crud I got 0/0

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

haha i see =))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol thanks for bein' here and clearing that up for me hehe.
