How did Northerners react to the Fugitive Slave Law? They supported the law fully. They liked it because they could get money for turning in a runaway slave. They thought it was too much work for them. They really didn't care either way. They were against the law because it forced them to support slavery.

I know that a lot of the northern states were opposed to slavery, not to mention that the Fugitive Slave Law basically gave people from the southern states the right to come into their towns and just kidnap African Americans from the northern states

What was the major issue that kept Dred Scott from getting his freedom? He should have tried when he was in a free state. The Supreme Court ruled that he was not a U.S. citizen of the United States and could not sue. They never should have taken the case to the Supreme Court. He was married. none of the above
