What you do is plug in a point that works for both lines. If you try (2, -4) and plug it in to both equations for choice B, the second line doesn't work.

When you plug it in to choice D, however, it works.

With the second inequality: \[\begin{align*}4x-5y&>20\\ -5y&>-4x+20\\ y&\color{red}{<}\frac{4}{5}x-4 \end{align*}\]

Any easy way to check is to pick the origin (0,0). Put x = 0 and y = 0 in each inequality and you can figure out which side of the dotted line should be shaded for each of the inequalities.
