In a well-developed paragraph, discuss why the writer of this poem would have chosen the structural form of a sonnet to communicate his message. Be sure to include specific examples from the poem to support your ideas.
That time of year thou mayst in me behold When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang Upon those boughs which shake against the cold, Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang. In me thou see'st the twilight of such day As after sunset fadeth in the west; Which by and by black night doth take away, Death's second self, that seals up all in rest. In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire, That on the ashes of his youth doth lie, As the deathbed whereon it must expire, Consumed with that which it was nourished by. This thou perceiv'st, which makes thy love more strong, To love that well which thou must leave ere long.

The use of a sonnet to put forth their idea/poetic work allowed them to add tone, giving the poem more depth and making it more interesting to the reader.
....... @BassCatcher15 I'm beyond lost
Like, I understand what it's asking. Poems are seriously just NOT my thing.
@BVB4life
They arent mine either. Lol. Hang on though. I think I can decipher what theyre askin.
Alright! @BassCatcher15
A sonnet is simply another means to a creative, poetic end. It has a very distinct form. For example, the Elizabethan sonnet form (also referred to as the Shakespearean sonnet because of his vast contributions to the form) consists of fourteen lines. Of these fourteen, the first twelve are divided into three sets of four lines, called a quatrain. The last two lines are in the form of a couplet, a pair of rhyming lines. Maybe thatll help?
Now I'm even more lost....

Basically sonnets have a unique flow to them and it makes them easy to follow when the author uses simple text. In this case, the author uses simple flow with complex vocabulary to draw the reader in. Their wording provides a lot of depth.
I understand what it is and what I'm suppose to do! I don't know what I ACTUALLY would write though. Get it?
writing a sonnet makes the poem flow make more sense
and the actual vocabulary in the poem
had me... then lost me again
so basically the author wrote this poem as a sonnet to make the poem more interesting but at the same time easier to understand
Okay. Got it.
so that makes sense?
Sorry for the complexity of my response. Lol
Yes! Thank you! @BVB4life
of course let me know if you need help with anything else
Help with one last one? @BVB4life @BassCatcher15
Yeah sure
sure why not
Read the following Shakespearean sonnet. My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; Coral is far more red than her lips' red; If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.; I have seen roses damasked, red and white, But no such roses see I in her cheeks; And in some perfumes is there more delight Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know That music hath a far more pleasing sound; I grant I never saw a goddess go; My mistress when she walks treads on the ground. And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare As any she belied with false compare. The lines "My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; / Coral is far more red than her lips' red; / If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; / If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head" employ a humor device. Identify the device used and discuss its effect on the meaning and tone of the poem.
im not really sure
