On a piece of paper, construct the initials of your first and last name using a compass and straightedge. Only parallel and perpendicular lines may be used in the construction, and both types of constructions must be demonstrated in your finished product.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but still...how did you find me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am gonna get a bad grade in geometry :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you know what your initials are and you know how to draw parallel and perpendicular lines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that's true but i did that and apparently i got it wrong... :( @nin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i need to see how you did it so i can see where you went wrong and i may be able to help you @EmmaDrew94

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

check out this page http://www.mathopenref.com/constperpextpoint.html to see how to construct perpendicular lines

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did it like this...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your v is wrong because that isn't perpendicular lines, perpendicular lines will create a 90 degree angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1405474774377:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would be what your v should look like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay that makes more sense. @ninjasandtigers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup :)
