@myininaya Regular motion of the earth about the sun causes the daily change in the high temperature at any location on Earth. The chart and graph show the average daily high temperature, in degrees Celsius, for each month in Yellowknife, NWT, compiled for several years. (Also Graph for this question attached below) Month Celsius Degrees Jan -24 Feb -21 March -12 April -2 May 10 June 16 July 21 Aug 18 Sep 11 Oct 2 Nov -10 Dec -19 Determine the trigonometric equation that models this information, let y be the temperature in deg celsius and x be months

So sorry, I can't be of very good help with this. @ninjasandtigers ??
@mertsj ?
@rcbigbull

@roseflutterwings np yo..i appreciate ur effort
Anytime, good luck :)
@wolf1728
@precious32 u getting something ?
sweetnikkie That graph looks like a sine wave I think I could come up with an equation that might crudely generate values
okay that could be helpful..
Okay for one thing I made my own graph and my own set of numbers - it is MUCH easier to read
y is temp Celsius and x is months Rather than talking about temp is 'y' let's talk English temp=(Sine((month# -4)*30))*20 So for May temp=(sine((5-4)*30))*20 temp=(sine(1)*30)*20 temp = sine (30)*20 temp = .5 * 20 temp = 10 Which hits the nail right on the head for May.
@wolf1728 so what will be the equation of the given graph? y=(sin(x-4)*30)*20 ?
