(:
You use "whose" to refer back to a noun (but not a pronoun). Note that the word "who's" is NOT a possessive form, but the contraction of the phrase "who is"
Whose the best person to serve as president of the Youth in Government Club? My uncle, whose chief deputy of the circuit court, allowed me to come to work with him one day to understand better what he does. After finding the can of soda in the classroom, the teacher turned to the class and asked, “Whose can of soda is this?” A panel of judges determines whose going to receive the crafts award for Best of Show
those r the choices
@laurenhalvorsen18, read what @mikemike97 gave you, then tell us which one you believe is correct. (:
B
No... I don't think it's B.
Yes, \(\normalsize\bf\color{lime}B\) is \(\normalsize\bf\color{lime}{correct}\)!
What? I thought C was.
same
B is correct because it is referring back to the uncle.
thank you @Whitemonsterbunny17
The uncle is the noun it is referring back to.
I thought B would make more sense if you put 'who's'
Which sentence uses the word lay correctly
Adding an apostrophe is the same as saying "who is".
My mother warned me not to lay in the sun. Have you ever seen a horse lay down? Caesar could hear the teacher asking students to lay the homework assignment on his desk. “Leave me alone,” I said to my sister. “I just want to lay here for awhile.”
@Whitemonsterbunny17 she is right
I know...@Whitemonsterbunny17
just like putting it's.. it's the same as (it is)
I think the question to these answers is 'Which sentence uses the word lay correctly?'
Well, I'm pretty sure the answer to this question would be C.
Yes, @Conqueror is correct.
Crap, I'm getting tons of tags. g2g!
Another tag, lol.
Which sentence uses the word who’s correctly?
@laurenhalvorsen18, can you please post that question in a separate thread?
this is s a very important test that i need help with
and what
A test, you say?
yes
Ah, you are aware that posting test questions is against this site's terms, right?
oh no i didnt i am new to this site
Everyone posts test questions. @Whitemonsterbunny17
Oh, okay. Well posting Test, Quiz, or Exam questions is against the site's Code of Conduct. You can read it here: http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct Also, read the Terms and Conditions: http://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions
oh my gosh
so then whats the point of this site
haha
@laurenhalvorsen18
To study for your tests, quizzes and exams. Open Study.
Not Open Cheat.
Yeah, but openstudy is also for helping people with their school work even if it's a test question.
And they do have a open chat
It's at the bottom right
that is rite @Conqueror
No, @Conqueror. Read the CoC. ANY questions from Tests, Quizzes, and Exams are against the site's terms. Also against any schools' terms.
Oh wow
well then i am out
Yeah, but you can't just leave someone stuck on a problem. You can't do nothing.
Does your school allow you to Google test questions? I don't think so. Schools could sue the site, or worse if it were made for cheating.
That's true
If they find out
my school does
Sure. I don't believe that.
Haha. I knew that answer was coming
Anyway, you guys can help, at your own risk, but I am out.
I don't help cheaters.
okay u dont have to
Well this was a nice little chat.
What's the difference between test questions and other questions? @Whitemonsterbunny17
True @Conqueror
Tests are more important. Exams are even worse.
Someone could say it's not a test and it could be.
You never know what's laying behind the other persons screen
That is true, @mikemike97. But this user said that it was from a test.
Yea. Unless they say it's a test.
I need to put me a pic up I feel lonely. :(
People wouldn't want you cheating on other questions besides test and exam questions either. So why should you help anyone at all?

Damn
Please tell me that's a copy and paste and you didn't memorize that...@Whitemonsterbunny17
Duh it's a copy and paste
ok you meaner
Read the top of my comment. I said I pasted it directly from the Terms and Conditions.
Who? @mikemike97
Oh I just looked at it then typed
@Whitemonsterbunny17 What about those tons of people you helped in the past? What if you helped them cheat on tests? o.O
There is no way to know for sure.
Yeah, so why risk helping anyone at all?
@Conqueror true
Because there are genuine questions out there.
nevermind
If you ever see anyone post questions from Tests, Quizzes, or Exams, report them.
LEL
-.- Seriously, if this doesn't stop, I will report the question.
Why were having a conversation
Not like anyone's cursing
Reporting does nothing.
Or saying threats
Mmm, but you are fighting against the site's terms.. And have also agreed to answer questions that you now know are test questions.
I didn't and I'm not fighting the sites terms
Maybe you weren't, but other users were.
Just let it go. What happens, is what will happen.
Everyone's fighting the sites terms on openstudy. Well, maybe except the mods.
I do not fight the site's terms. I may not be a moderator or an ambassador, but I still follow the site's terms, and I still try to get others to follow them as well. The terms are there for a reason.
