A function is a relationship among variables.
And what is the question?
Sometimes, the growth rate of a function is decidedly slow. (Picture a linear graph with a relatively flat slope.) Other times, a function’s growth rate is comparably fast. (Imagine a function growing exponentially.) Think of several sets of related variables that affect your life. If you could control the variables, would you aim for a slow growth rate or a fast growth rate? For example, you might desire a savings account balance (S) that grows quickly with respect to time (t). You might want to drive a car that has a low monthly maintenance cost (C) relative to the miles it’s been driven (m). Choose at least three scenarios and explain your choices.
Well try to think of normal events or continuous happenings in your life and decide whether you would wish them to be constant, growing slowly, growing fast, or even decreasing. Pick anything you expect or want to change over time.
Okay thank you.
You could even express the evolution of a relationship with friends or a partner in functional terms.
