Well, a scale factor of 1/5 means that for every 1 unit of length on the smaller triangle, the corresponding side of the bigger triangle is 5 times that. So if you had sides of 40, 50, 60 on the large triangle, you would just divide those all by 5 and get 8, 10, 12. Every side of the large triangle is 5 times that side of the smaller. If that makes sense.
