HELP PLEASE! NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO GET THESE IVE BEEN ASKING FOR 2 DAYS Factor the expression. 3x(y+4) - 2y(x+4)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, if you distribute on both terms, what do you get?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ohh wait. .is factoring... hmmm

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

that looks .... hmm they do not have any common factor..... so, that's as factored as they can be I'd think you can simplify them.. which means you'd have to distribute first but you're only asked to factor, so, they don't have a common factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so they cannot be factored

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know this one?? btw thank you so much Factor the polynomial 8x4 + 4x3 - 2x2

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap.. they have no common factor

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well.... do you know how to factor quadratics?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope .-.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... then... you may want to cover that first.... since that one is a quartic....but can be redone as a quadratic
