@Destinymasha do u know this
I do =)
The sun undergoes nuclear fusion in it's core (smashing together atoms of hydrogen to make helium, helium to make lithium, lithium to beryllium, etc.). This produces huge amounts of energy; this energy is in the form of electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation (or light), is released in all of its forms: radio, microwave, visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma ray forms (I may have missed one on the lower band). The light is then pushing itself through the sun until it reaches the surface and then is released out into space. This is how the star (glows) and we only see the visible part with our eyes which looks yellow to us, but in reality is actually green believe it or not! So the light that our Earth is in the path of is the light that hits Earth. We receive energy from the sun via electromagnetic radiation that was created by the creation of atoms inside the damn core!! How freaking cool is that? In fact, all of the elements heavier than Hydrogen, (including all the elements that make up the Earth, life, and even your computer) were all created inside of stars like our Sun! To be more accurate, only the Elements up to Iron are produced in the cores. The heavier elements like gold and silver and the (rarer) ones are created in Supernova explosions! We are made of Stardust, as Carl Sagan would have said. $@#@ing awesome right? =))
