Please Help show step by step xp will Fan and Give Medal! Simplify the expression 2y(2y + 3y2) – y2(3 – y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it \[3y^2\] or 3y x 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so its easy just multiply 2y first with the first value inside the bracket and then with the second one do the same with y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then say me what are u getting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay! I thought it was more complicated than that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it 4y+6y^2-3y^2+y or

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no u've done something wrong let me explain u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2y(2y+3y^2)-y^2(3-y)\] \[4y^2+6y^3-3y^2-y^3\] because ur doing x with consonants so u must+the powers next step is to group like terms \[4y^2-3y^2+6y^3-y^3\] now if u subtract 4-3 u will write the powers as it is \[y^2+5y^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay I wasn't sure if I should do that or not. If it was for something else. lol I can't organize math in my head well. xp Thank you for explaing that though! It really helped. oh and I like your profile pic. :3
