When given a raw score, explain how to use the normal curve to compare that score to the population??? @SolomonZelman

@Venny

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you subtract the mean of the data set from the score and then divide by the standard deviation. this is called a z-score \[z = \frac{x - \mu}{\sigma}\] and allows you so see where about under the normal curve you are positioned.

@campbell_st THANK YOU!!! Is that all??

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats it.... you could google z-score to get a better explanation...

Thanks, could you help me with a few more?
