if a voltage at vcc is 10v in a transistor, then what should be the voltage at the base of a comon emmiter transistor?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Actually the Base Emitter voltage is dependent on collector current, saturation current, temperature, internal parasitic resistances, and base to collector current gain which changes with collector to emitter voltage. For technical approximation for VBE some use is about .6 to .7 volts but this does tell anyone on what its dependent on. In actuality it may vary between .3 to .8 volts depending on operating conditions.
