Why we feel vibration if we are standing near to place where the music is loudly played?

Elsa213 (elsa213):

sorry idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

I'm guessing it has to deal with the some kind of vibration wave. I really don't know. But this is my guess. Don't take my word for it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

due to sound intensity... although distance from the sound source is inversely proportional to intensity but since you are near to source, the vibration is so intense... and actually SOUND is a mechanical pressure consisting of vibration of molecules within the medium it is propagated....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sound intensity I is \[I=\frac{W}{4 \pi r^2}\] where \(W\) is the sound power and \(r\) is your distance in meter from the source...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is also related to sound pressure P \[I ~~\alpha~~ P^2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

... we perceive sound in terms of sound pressure
