If you were solving a system of equations and you came to a statement like 4 = 4, what do you know about the solution to the system?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The solution is (4, 4) The solution is x = 4 and y = 4 There is no solution There are infinitely many solutions

I depends, if you used substitution or elimination, and came up with 4=4, then it means that the equations are the same, and thus there are infinitely meany solutions. (this is probably the case) If you were plugging y and x solutions, and came up with something like 4=4, then it means that the solution you got is now checked to be correct.
