Divide the following radical and simplify the answer. http://imgur.com/gotgkMv

@xapproachesinfinity

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

multiply top and bottom by the conjugate of the denominator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that English 0.o

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes the conjugate is as follows (a + sqrtb) is conjugate of (a - sqrtb) and vice versa - when yuy multiply them out the sqrt disappears.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My brain hurts from this one.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

yes - its pretty long winded

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

multiplying thr denominator is bad enough but the numerator is worse! for denominator we get (14sqrt50 - 8)(14sqrt50 + 8) = 4(7sqrt50 - 4)(7sqrt50 + 4) = 4 (49*50 - 16) = 4 * 3434 = 9736

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

4(7sqrt50 - 4)(-3 -2 sqrt48) = 4 ( -21sqrt50 -14sqrt2400 + 12 + 8 sqrt48)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it's B?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

i dont know - we need to simplify a bit more before we can say that

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

sqrt 2440 = sqrt16 * sqrt150 = 4 sqrt150

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

- that doesn't help oh 2400 = 6 * 400 = 20 sqrt6 that looks more promising

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it B lol I am on a time scale and wanna improve my score
