Because I could not stop for Death – He kindly stopped for me – What is the speaker suggesting? A. that she is too engaged to worry about death B. that she is highly preoccupied at the time of writing C. that she is not concerned about death D. that she feels death will be a relief
What do you think it is?
I think it is c, but i just need to be positive.
Well, no. It isn't. When she says he 'kindly' stopped for her, it meant that she wanted death, specially since she could not 'stop for death' herself, as in, she can't control when she dies. So choose again.
Oh wait.
Yeah, it's C. Sorry about that. I read it wrong.
Actually, it's more implied that A would work better in this instance. It sounds as if she's occupied with other matters, and so doesn't pay him mind or give it enough thought until he stops her in her haste, "kindly."
