Find y. (Let me attach the file first)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the file @ninjasandtigers @SolomonZelman can you help me with my question when you get the time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it saying that arc yz is 50?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no y and z are angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no the arc, not the angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the arcs are 120, 160, and 50

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1406319521595:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so now we have angle z

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if arc yz=50 like i think it does then x=25 a triangle's angle adds up to 180 so 180-95-25=y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

60 is wrong my A+ program said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, then arc yz doesn't equal 50, i have to go though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because 50 is an arc by itself it's not what both y and z equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yz isn't an arc but y and z are seperate angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Haseeb96 @SolomonZelman @Somy I Need Help Please When Ya'll Get The Time and I'll award medal for the best response

OpenStudy (haseeb96):

sorry i am not intelligent i only answer about those questions which i have read

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well then why do you have "Human Calculator" with your profile name

OpenStudy (somy):

sorry im not math person <.<

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but you have 80 as your smartscore

zepdrix (zepdrix):

This has something to do with the Inscribed Angle Theorem and all that jazz, yes? I can't remember exactly.. but ummm... something to do with ... how our angles are going to be half the measure of the central angle. So I agree x=25. But then shouldn't z=80? Half of the 160. Which would leave 75 for the y angle.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Do you have multiple guesses? Can we throw a guess in? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought y = 60 bit it doesn't like someone tried to tell me earlier

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Oooo I see. I didn't measure the arc from z correctly. It's that little piece in the triangle as well... Oh yah 95 sounds right for z. woops :P That didn't get you the correct y though?

OpenStudy (somy):

@gswag98 maybe you should check which subjects i am active at. And its not much of math.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y is definitely 90 degrees because it forms a tangent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know why all this workout was being done :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going to post another question in the meantime I still need your help on this question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

was 90 degrees the right answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1406393836948:dw| Can you tell me the ? angle
