How can I find the square root to...? So the answer to this (attachment) is 0.3 but how can I find the result without a calculator?
umm cant
Oh ok.
Thanks
Of course you can do it without a calculator. Simply take the square root twice.
@LarsEighner If it's not too much trouble can you please give me an example?
smart peeps awesome
Well, this one is obvious on inspection, so I cannot demonstrate the whole method. But to take the first square root, put s decimal point over the radical sign (like long division). Now consider the first PAIR of numbers to the right of the decimal point under the radical. They are 00. So what is the square root of 00?
0
Right. So put a zero to the right of the decimal point over the radical. Now consider the next PAIR of numbers under the radical. They are 81. What is the square root of 81?
9
oh and the square root of 9 is 3. Got it. Thank you
Right. So write a 9 to the right of the zero over the radical sign. And you are done with the first square rool. See if you can take the root of 0.09 yourself.
Oh ok. Easier than I thought. Thank you, sir.
