What is the inverse of a horizontal line?

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

A vertical line. Taking the inverse means to switch all x and y coordinates, so if you have a horizontal line with points (1,0), (2,0), (3,0) etc, switch all the coordinates and you get (0,1), (0,2), (0,3) which you will quickly realize is a vertical line. Also, on a graph, the inverse means it is reflected over the identity line x=y (a 45 degree angle line passing thru the origin) which if you can mentally picture, it would then be a vertical line

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

No inverse since a vertical line is not a function

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

Remember the definition, it has to satisfy one to one property
