Patricia has two plants in her garden. Plant A grows 2 inches per month, and Plant B grows 1.8 meters in a year. [1 meter = 39.37 inches] Part A: Which plant grows faster? Justify your answer by comparing the rate at which the plants grow after converting to the same units. (5 points) Part B: If the original height of the plant was 2 inches and you checked on its height every 15 days, describe appropriate scales on the x-axis and y-axis to graph the rate at which the slower growing plant increases in height. Assume that the height of the plant increases linearly. (5 points)
@TSwizzle
multiply 39.37 by 1.8
70.866
yep now divide that by 12
5.9055
so which one grows faster?
If plant B grows 5.9055 per month and Plant A grows 2 inches per month which one grows the fastest?
b
Yep c:
idk part b tho sry :c
darn
lol
Gimme a sec, I can help
Crap, my brain's in summer mode lol ummmm... Still thinking but idk if I can help or not
cmon you got this lol
Lol... Okay so I'm not quite sure about that question, but I know how to graph it. So, say the dates are on the x axis, and the height was on the y axis...
You would start at (0, 2) right?
Now 15 days is half a month, and the plant grows 2 in per month, so how much would it grow in 15 days?
1
Right. So if you did 1 unit on the graph = 15 days, you'd have (1, 3) (2, 4) etc....
Soooo... That's as far as I can help lol
lol itll work
You should give your girl a medal ;P
