The acceleration of an object is caused by: A change in speed. A change in velocity. A change in direction. An unbalanced force. @Kainui

OpenStudy (kainui):

All of the above?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only one is the right answer

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Change in velocity in thast csae

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Change in velocity automatically includes all the others.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Acceleration is a change in velocity. Velocity is essentially a speed and direction. So by changing only the direction changes the velocity and change in speed changes velocity. But what is an unbalanced force? That just means you have a net force. But F=ma is one of newton's law. Force is just an acceleration on a mass! They are all correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yes they all are correct, but if only one have to be chosen then i'll say change in velocity

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Change n velocity automatically includes all the others.

OpenStudy (kainui):

The first 3 are alike, but the last one is separately not included as an unbalanced force.

OpenStudy (kainui):

What a terrible question.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

yeah that's correct.....these questions make a student commit suicide !

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Well i think last one will be the correct option. Because for any kind of acceleration net force is required. even to change the direct a net force is required. So it's a quite tricky question. Answer will be D
