Is this simplified correctly? (6x - 3x^3 + 4) - (3x^2 - 3) 6x - 3x^3 + 4 - 3x^2 + 3 6x - 3x^3 + 4 + 3 - 3x^2 6x - 3x^3 + 7 - 3x^2

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

@SolomonZelman ?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

(6x - 3x^3 + 4) - (3x^2 - 3) `6x - 3x^3 + 4 - 3x^2 + 3` - 3x^3 - 3x^2 + 6x+ 4 + 3 finish by subtracting/adding like terms

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

I did that already. Is there anything wrong?

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

@mathstudent55 ?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

you didn't finish it, but you didn't make any mistakes.

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

But what is there left to do? I don't see any way to simplify it more than this.

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

@thomaster ?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

It's correct. It is not in descending order of degree, but everything you did is correct. It is fully simplified as long as you were not asked to write it in ascending or descending order of degree or in standard form.

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You're welcome.
