line BC has an equation of a line y=2x+3, and line EF has an equation of a line y=-1/2x+4 these two equations represent a) parallel lines because the slopes of the lines are equal. b) perpendicular lines because the slopes are opposite reciprocals c) the same line when graphed d) lines that intersect , but not at the right angle

b

omg how do you know hopefully you arent giving me the wrong answer im doing a test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol. don't worry i'm sure it's correct

@dan815 help me please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha.i'm a newbie here. anyway my answer is based on a theorem stating that two non-vertical lines L1 and L2 with slopes m1 and m2 respectively are perpendicular if the products of their slopes is equal to one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you're welcome

OpenStudy (dan815):

perendicular

OpenStudy (dan815):

when the slope is a negative reciprocal 2/1 ---> -1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so B?
