Find the x value for the point that splits segment AB in half if point A is located at (4, 3) and point B is located at (−2, 6). 1 3 3.5 0.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The easiest way to do this is to simply find the x value of the midpoint. This can be done by taking (x1 + x2)/2 So, take A's x coordinate + B's x coordinate and add them together and then divide by 2. x1 = 4; x2 = -2. [4 + (-2)] / 2 = 1. Therefore, 1 is the x coordinate.

Thank you very much for helping me. Do you mind if you could help again? I'm not very good with geometry

OpenStudy (spyro517):

If so then here is the next problem. Line AB contains points A (−1, 3) and B (5, 3). Line AB has a slope that is zero undefined positive negative
