Any help would be great. I'm so close to finishing this assignment and going to bed...
OpenStudy (imstuck):
It's D because to find an x intercept, you replace the y with zero. The same goes for finding y intercepts...replace the x with a 0.
OpenStudy (imstuck):
Only one 0 appears in the y column, so there is only one x intercept.

But it's a continuous function.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Because it's continuous, it leads me to believe it's not C or D.

Look at how y changes in sign when you go from x = -3 to x = 0
Then it changes in sign again when you go from x = 0 to x = 1
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
This function is continuous, so it has to cross over the x axis at some x value between -3 and 0 (and again between 0 and 1)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So it definitely has more than one x-intercept?
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
yes
