trying to put (2, -5) (-1, 0) in slope intercept form y + mx + b would it be -5 = m2 +b ?

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (mrnood):

No The slope is given by (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) First work that out from the 2 points you have been given. Post oyur answer here first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all I have to do is put it in the form not find the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already tried what you just told me and what I posted is what I got

OpenStudy (mrnood):

you have not understood the question. In order to put it in the form you must 'find the answer' If you do what I suggest - you will be on the way. If not .... you choose You haven't done y2-y1 or x2-x1 Take the x and y values from the 2 points and do that (it sounds like you don't really want to do much - if so - please say so...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is the question 1. Using the two points provided, write the equation of the line in the following forms. 2, -5) and ( -1, 0)

OpenStudy (mrnood):

It says "write the equation of the line " If oyu don't want my help that's OK with me If oyu do - then please do what I suggested above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how to do what you suggested

OpenStudy (mrnood):

the 2 points are (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) Take the values of the points given in the question and write down 2 things: y2-y1 x2-x1 That's all for now....
